The role:
The primary responsibility of this role is to assist with the day-to-day duties of the Maintenance stores, which holds a huge array of maintenance materials, ranging from nuts & bolts to motors and PLC control system.
You will managing the receipt of goods and ensure the subsequent issue to engineers and contractors is managed within maintenance management software “Mainsim”.
Key activities and responsibilities of a Maintenance Stores Person:
- Receipt of goods ensuring delivery paperwork is present and correct.
- Checking receipts against the delivery note and purchase order in order to book parts in.
- Quality control checks on in-coming goods
- Keeping people informed (about deliveries or problems).
- Dispatching spares (such as motors and pumps) for service
- Re-order/ordering parts used
- Undertaking training and comply with site safety rules
- Controlling stock levels including stock taking.
- Picking requisitions and issuing parts on the system.
- General Housekeeping
- Undertake other duties as reasonably requested.
Skills & knowledge of a Maintenance Stores Person:
- Understanding of maintenance materials / engineering components
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office Software
- Ability to prioritise and manage tasks
- Full UK Driving License
- Previous experience in a similar role/environment beneficial
- FLT B1 Counterbalance license beneficial but not essential as training can be provided
